My little sister’s curious about the whole genre and wants to try it out but she’s not happy that it centers mostly on boys. :/ She doesn’t like fantasy much(and I don’t blame her).
She’s 10 but has a very high reading level for her age. Any recommendations?
I answered this, but forgot to add Elizabeth Moon’s Vatta’s War series, which is a space opera. It’s not YA, but it’s something I could have read easily in my early teens, so it might work for you? Tell your sister there’s a lot of science fiction with female main characters. Some of it is for teens, some of it is for an older audience. There were a lot of books published in the 90’s that I loved as an older teen. And there are more being written all the time.
